Richard Pearson is an abstract artist whose work explores the emotional charge of colour, movement, and memory. With a deeply intuitive approach to painting, Richard layers vibrant pigments and gestural strokes to create compositions that are both spontaneous and intentional — a visual language that resists literal interpretation while evoking visceral responses.
Drawing inspiration from the raw energy of the natural world, personal experience, and the unconscious mind, his paintings often blur the boundaries between chaos and control, structure and fluidity. Each piece invites viewers into a dialogue — not to find answers, but to feel, reflect, and engage.
Working primarily in oils, acrylics and mixed media, Richard's process is guided by rhythm, experimentation, and emotional instinct. Whether through explosive palettes or quiet tension in texture and space.
Richard lives and works in Somerset, where he continues to develop a dynamic body of work that has found homes in private collections and galleries.
